電動汽車的車身和電池是經過精心設計開發，為了達到高水準的防水和防塵，製造商通過將電池浸入約 50 釐米的水中長達 30 分鐘來測試電池，以驗證水無法進入電池。

電動汽車的核心是電池

因為插入汽車的電池位於車身最低部分，由於重量它最有可能與水接觸，採用標準的技術和設計，電動汽車可以涉水20-30釐米，是不會遇到任何問題，若是駕駛員在不熟悉的領域，尤其是在無法預測水深度的情況下，儘量避免涉水，因為等待排水的積水區域需要很長時間。”

如果真的發生淹水會怎麼樣呢？

如果真的發生任何實際問題，電力系統將在瞬間切斷電動汽車內部的電力，將進一步提高用戶的安全性。
